How it came to be….
Casey Ryan Richards
When Casey moved to Vermont in 2019, he noticed the problem with rental cars in the state when his mother was unable to extend her rental with Hertz without driving to Manchester, NH. Intrigued with the lack of rental car infrastructure in Vermont, he applied for a job at Enterprise Rental Car. After the interview, Enterprise told him that he didn’t fit their qualifications and thus Vermont Rental Cars was born.
Casey started with one Jeep Wrangler from Brileya’s Jeep in Rutland. During the early days he used a folding bicycle to deliver the vehicle to customer’s homes and biked home, sometimes having to make the trip in segments over several days.
Today, Vermont Rental Cars has three locations and a growing fleet of vehicles. Casey attributes the companies success in such a short period of time to the companies focus on providing the best service, for a reasonable price, in modern well equipped vehicles that were built for Vermont, not Florida.
Operations Manager
Max Richards
Max joined the company in 2020 and took over major operations shortly afterward. Born and raised in San Francisco, life in Vermont was new for him, but he took to it quickly. Before joining Vermont Rental Cars, Max was the operations manager for a major event management company in the Bay Area, where he oversaw a large team of workers.
